Water
A swimming experience beyond the ordinary
At KAI, you will find both indoor pools to suit every need, heated outdoor pools, inviting wellness facilities, and year-round swimming opportunities in Copenhagen’s clean harbour. Explore KAI and discover the joy of water in new ways.
Pools at the ground floor
On KAI’s ground floor, you can experience everything from playful water fun to the calm repetition of swimming laps. Here you will find the 25-meter Exercise Pool with six lanes, the Teaching Pool, and the three Play Pools.
Wellness and outdoor pools
On the wellness floor, you can unwind and let the hustle and bustle of everyday life melt away. Here you’ll find a Finnish sauna, steam room, lounge, warm stones and three pools with different temperatures – from the warm Therapy Pool and the intense Fire Pool to the cold, invigorating Ice Pool.
On the first-floor rooftop of KAI, between the brick cones, you will find our heated outdoor pools, offering a bathing experience out of the ordinary—whether the sun is shining or Copenhagen is shrouded in fog. Here, you can enjoy Onsen, where you can relax in warm water under the open sky—even when it’s raining or snowing. Up here, you will also find the Valley Pool, located between KAI’s brick cones, where you can swim outdoors and enjoy the magnificent view over Copenhagen’s Harbour.
The waterfront
In front of KAI, you’ll find a 50-meter swimming zone and a 22-meter dipping zone in Copenhagen’s clean harbour, which you can use all year round, day and night.
From the ground floor of KAI, there is direct access for swimmers to the outdoor swimming and dipping zone, so you can easily switch between the swimming facilities on the quayside and inside the Water Culture House. If you are a paying guest, you can use your wristband to re-enter KAI, where you must perform a full rinse-off before entering the other pools
However, the harbour’s swimming facilities are free for everyone to use all year round without needing to purchase access to KAI.
There are also great opportunities to relax by the quay and to dock or depart by kayak at a blue support point.
